Week 4 Reading Reflection

After reading Chapter 5, Innovation: The Creative Pursuit of Ideas, I found it interesting that in the description of the methods to develop creativity, the ninth method was "remembering your wildest dreams," where he took the dream and turned it into something new. He was innovative and used his dream to pursue his knowledge and ability to create new things. I think the concept of a creative climate was slightly confusing. I didn't realize that the atmosphere and surroundings of a person could affect the creativity, so his description of this definitely cleared up this point but I was still unsure as to how this happens. I would ask the author how he would develop a functional perspective, and I would also ask him to give me a detailed example of an innovation while emphasizing the incubation process. Furthermore, I did not disagree with anything the author said in this chapter.
