My opportunity arose from talking to various students about their issues with grocery shopping. All of them said it was inconvenient for them to have to find time to go to the store amongst exams, class, and extracurriculars. Therefore, I figured why not bring the groceries to them. Like an ice cream truck, Gator Good Groceries has a route around and through campus for students to enter the bus and shop for their groceries, basically at their doorstep.

ReplyDeleteI think your idea is very good and interesting. I would pay a premium for sure for someone to deliver my groceries. However, one of the peer reviews I was assigned had the same topic as you. I do not think this is a problem since the idea is fantastic and would save a lot of students time in their busy college schedules.
Hey Kalia, I think your business plan is really interesting and that it would help make many students lives easier. I often need to go get groceries but I always have a lot of work to do and never have the time to do everything. If someone were able to get groceries for me, I would definitely pay a premium.

It could only be in my hometown though. It seems like you have a great idea and the passion to make it happen. Hey Emily, I like your grocery idea. There are similar start up businesses that are doing fairly well to bring meals to students, or to someone in Gainesville. I think your idea would catch on fairly quickly because of the convenience to busy students. I also liked how you pitched your idea in the video.
ReplyDeleteHello Emily, I really like your Idea about Gator Good Grocery. I agree with the feeling about no time to go to grocery stores even though I need to. Those times, I normally end up going out in the store spending more money on pre-maid food which I should not have to. I also do not drive a car, so this idea is perfect for those do not have a car!
